"Our approach to counselling recognises students’ strengths and what matters to them. We aim to nurture emotional literacy—the ability to understand and express feelings—alongside resilience and self-management. What we hope students take with them is a growing understanding of themselves and confidence in how they approach life. These are skills they can build on as they grow, both during their time at the College and beyond."

"One example involved a Senior School student whose specific learning needs had been identified. A specialist report was drawn up, followed by discussions with our head of learning support, the parents, the teacher and the student about how best to address those needs. Teachers co-planned their approach with the head of learning support, and support was provided both during and outside lessons. In this case, the student became more confident in their learning strategies, developed clearer routines for how to learn, and built their self-confidence and their own voice."
