Senior School (ages 11 to 18)

Welcome to Senior School at Dulwich College Shanghai

Our Senior School is characterised by a diverse group of confident, friendly, outward-looking and motivated young people. Classes are small, well-resourced and well-supported, with highly qualified, specialist teachers who take the time to get to know students and families, ensuring open communication and strong support as students progress towards higher-level exams.

Senior School consists of Years 7 to 13 (ages 11 to 18).

  • Students in Years 7 to 9 follow the English National Curriculum, modified for our international context
  • In Years 10 and 11, students follow the IGCSE Curriculum
  • In Years 12 and 13 they follow either the A Level or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, culminating in exams in Year 13

Please note: Years 7 to 9 are offered at both our Puxi and Pudong campuses. Years 10 to 13 - including IGCSE, A Level and the IB Diploma Programme - are offered exclusively at our Pudong campus.

Academic Excellence

Our specialist teachers are experts in their subjects and deeply invested in every student's progress. Classes remain small and well-resourced, so teachers can give personalised, real-time feedback and build the kind of relationships with students and families that make a genuine difference to outcomes. It is this combination of exacting academic standards and close personal attention that consistently sees our students achieve outstanding results and go on to secure places at top universities around the world.

Dulwich College Shanghai's Class of 2026 achieved an average IB score of 38 at our Pudong campus and 37.5 at our Puxi campus, both significantly above the global average. Dulwich Pudong has held the top position in the China League IB Table for consecutive years.

Co-Curricular Activities

Our Co-Curricular programme provides opportunities for students to excel and develop passions and skills in sport, performing arts and academic enrichment, with over 100 CCAs on offer. We encourage all students to take part in a service project or community group, and Senior School students take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award — a fantastic experience that takes learning beyond the classroom and focuses on the life skills students need to be worldwise once they leave us.
